Breaking Down The Barriers - Veteran Mental Health Symposium - Dee Why RSL Club - Dee Why - NSW
The Veterans Centre Sydney Northern Beaches in collaboration with Phoenix Australia’s Centenary of Anzac Centre is proud to announce a FREE professional development and networking opportunity for those working with Veterans* across Sydney to provide information about practical, effective support and treatment. This event is open to medical and allied health practitioners, community and support workers, other ex-service organisation staff, and for families and mates of Veterans.

What will be covered through the day?

- Information about current, new and innovative evidence-based mental health treatments for Veterans

- Practical strategies for helping Veterans with problematic anger in the context of trauma

- What families, colleagues and mates need to know about treatment and how to approach a Veteran they are worried about - closed session

- Information stalls from Veteran support services

* A Veteran is defined as a current or former serving ADF member
