Traditional medical systems are increasingly utilised by the public in many countries, with increasing recognition and integration in contemporary healthcare. India is a world leader in recognition and integration of its rich medical traditions, including Ayurveda and yoga. This event will outline opportunities for Australia-India collaboration related to this topic from research, business and practice perspectives.

The Honourable Consul-General of India Shri B.Vanlalvawna will open the event, with further introductions by Australia Indian Business Council President Barbara Ward.

A panel discussion will follow, chaired by Distinguished Professor of Public Health Jon Adams, with representatives from the Australian Research Centre in Complementary and Integrative Medicine, The Australian India Business Council Health Chapter and the Australasian Association of Ayurveda.
